Phoenix Trailer Stage Rental: Ewing Royal Luau

Phoenix Trailer Stage Rental - Ewing's Case Study

When an industry leader throws a party, they expect nothing less than perfection. Recently, we had the privilege of providing full-scale Phoenix corporate event production for the team at Ewing Outdoor Supply.

Hosted on the beautiful, sprawling lawns of the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa in Phoenix, the “King Ewing’s Royal Luau” was an absolute masterpiece of an evening. Delivering a flawless outdoor concert and dinner experience for a massive corporate crowd is no easy feat. However, armed with our top-tier AV inventory and an elite production crew, C West Entertainment brought the vision to life.

Here is an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how we engineered this massive corporate celebration with our Phoenix AV Production.

The Client: Ewing Outdoor Supply

Before we dive into the gear, it is important to understand the scale of the client we were working with. Ewing Outdoor Supply is the largest family-owned wholesale distributor of landscape products and materials in the United States.

Serving the green industry since 1922, they carry more than 100,000 products across 250+ branches in 31 states. They are known for providing world-class business solutions, so when it came time to celebrate their team and partners, we had to deliver a world-class production to match.

Building the “Royal Luau” Phoenix Trailer Stage Rental

An outdoor event needs a commanding focal point. To give the live band the platform they deserved, we deployed our massive EuroStage 2026.

This professional mobile stage provided a safe, elevated, and weather-resistant performance area. Furthermore, it perfectly supported the custom “King Ewing’s Royal Luau” overhead banner and the massive Ewing Outdoor Supply branded backdrop.

Concert-Grade Audio for an Outdoor Space on Mobile Stage

Getting crisp, clear sound across a large outdoor lawn requires serious acoustic power. To ensure every guest at the round tables could hear the band perfectly, we deployed a premium audio package.

  • The Main PA: We flew a top-tier QSC LA108 Line Array System. This rig included 6 boxes per side, 6 heavy-hitting subwoofers for that live concert thump, 2 front fills for the guests closest to the stage, and all necessary rigging.
  • The Stage Mix: For the band to perform their best, they need to hear themselves clearly. We provided 6 QSC K12.2 Monitor Wedges spread across the stage.
  • The Inputs: Our team supplied a comprehensive Band Mic Kit, complete with stands, wired mics, a dedicated drum mic kit, and DIs to capture every instrument perfectly.
  • Front of House (FOH): At the center of the lawn, our audio engineers set up our “CWE” branded Front of House tent. From here, they mixed the entire show using a Behringer WING COMPACT 48-Channel Digital Mixer. We also deployed professional Shure directional antennas to guarantee flawless wireless microphone connectivity across the massive lawn.

Dynamic Lighting & Technical Execution

As the Arizona sun began to set, our lighting design took over to keep the energy high and the stage vibrant.

  • The Lighting Rig: We hung our Stage-2 Lighting Kit directly from the EuroStage truss. This robust package featured 12 moving heads, 8 wash lights, and 4 blinders/strobes to give the performance a true concert feel.

  • The Control: Our dedicated lighting designer operated the light show live using an ADJ WMX1 Standalone DMX Lighting Controller.

  • Ambient Lighting: To ensure safe and stylish illumination around the venue’s perimeter, we deployed a 250w Moon Balloon Kit, complete with tripods, custom wraps, a generator, and sandbags.

The Crew Behind the Console

High-end gear is useless without brilliant minds running it. For this event, we supplied an elite, specialized crew for a full 10-hour day.

The Audio Team: We brought in an A1 Audio Engineer to mix the main sound and an A2 Audio Engineer to manage the stage and microphone patching.

The Lighting Designer: Our L1 created dynamic lighting cues that synced perfectly with the band’s setlist.

Flawless Communication: To ensure the entire production team was in sync from load-in to strike, we utilized a Hollyland Intercom System with 6 Headsets.

Safety First: We take outdoor safety seriously. We utilized Yellow 4-Channel Cable Ramps to cleanly run our extensive concert power, audio, and lighting cables from the stage out to the FOH tent, preventing any trip hazards for the guests.
