I have been in the industry for 8 years, and have been photographing weddings for the last 7 years!
When I got engaged! My husband (fiance at the time) had a cheap DSLR camera, and I decided to pick it up and try to take a photo of my engagement ring inside of a flower, it was VERY cringe. It then evolved to taking photos of my two dogs, and eventually, people and weddings as my talent and love for this art grew.
I offer full-day wedding coverage with engagement sessions, boudoir sessions for brides, as well as albums and prints.
I typically love to set up a consult call with my couples so that not only can they get to know me and my business, but also so I can get to know them, their wedding day, and what’s important to them. Once they’ve booked me, we schedule their engagement session.
I send out a 90+ page Wedding and Style Guide to help them plan their wedding, what’s important, sample timelines, vendor recommendations, as well as what to wear for their engagement session in order to look and feel their best! I create custom timelines for all of my couples about 60-90 days prior to their wedding so they know what time things are happening so that they are able to relay that to all of their bridal party and families to ensure everyone is where they need to be!
On a wedding day, I check in with my bride and groom before doing their getting ready shots and detail photos. From there we follow the timeline I create for them prior to their wedding day with their individual portraits, first look (if they opt in for one), bridal party and family portraits, and eventually their husband and wife sunset portraits. Then we party the night away!
I find that my style is very timeless and does not follow any trends. Although I absolutely love and adore all my photographer friends who have very trendy and “in style” editing, I find that my timeless portraits set me apart. My philosophy of building relationships and connections with my couples also set me apart.
So, I don’t stop after the wedding. Some of my clients have become my best friends. I’ve photographed their anniversaries, their pregnancies, and their families as they grow. To me it doesn’t end at the wedding; when you book me, you book a friend. Someone who is going to be there for you through all of the ups and downs of planning, through your highs and lows in life, for the biggest chapters of your life. I want to continue that relationship and not have it end on the wedding day.
How does Brittany help couples create their perfect wedding day?
I’m their shoulder to cry on whether it be happy tears or sad tears. I’m not only there to create timeless and classic photos for them to cherish for a lifetime, but I’m also there to be their confidant. I create their perfect wedding day by capturing moments they may not have known were happening, from the way their spouse is touching them, to the way their parents subtly wipe tears away during their ceremony and speeches, even to your flower girl picking her nose while she waits patiently for the ceremony to end.
I’m there for it all. I’m here to tell the story of your love, and the way it’s creating a new chapter on your wedding day. It’s so much more than just pretty photos.
